Holes to Heaven

I framed 18 constellation and star charts from The Stars by H.A. Rey, which I bought at an antique store in Santa Monica last year. I've been planning it for a long time, and I finally stopped dragging my feet. It was quite a task to put them up, and I've placed all the nails and I'm just waiting for 3 more frames.

I picked out this series of constellation drawing to be framed bc I love stars and they hold a lot of meaning for me. "And there were so many fewer questions when stars were still just the holes to heaven..." -Jack Johnson Holes to Heaven

First, I measured the width of the wall and found the centerpoint. Then, I taped up yarn to make sure I had a straight line at the height I wanted the frames to be. I measured the frames and calculated how far apart each of them should be nailed.
[Nailing in the top row]
I used small short nails so the frames would hang close to the wall.  I did the same for the bottom row, but in reality I ended up using the top row to gauge where to put the nail. Math/measurements fails me once again. I'm pretty happy with the results, but I'm sure I'll be pulling out nails and tapping them in .1" to the left or right, etc.

The missing gaps are where the 3 other frames will go.

Though my explanation is short, it was not an easy task. It took me around 1.5 hours to do it all.
