Two weekends ago I visited the new Aurora Museum in Shanghai by architect Tadao Ando. I admire his work but this building was a slight disappointment. The museum is Ando's first completed project in China, and because I know first hand how the architecture and construction industry works there, I also know it is near impossible to realize a building that is true to the design intent. In other words, China is crazy and the process of getting a building built is hell.
The Bulgari exhibition was on show and since a lady never refuses jewelry...
