SHUCK YOU!
stories from the curious city

Yes, it's a giant pizookie. Yes, I liked it. Yes, I am ashamed!! A great dinner with friends I haven't seen in a long time. I wish I could gather all my dear friends together in one 10 mile radius area so we could see so much more of each other!

7 AM hiking in honor of Mother's Day. Good thing we started early since it started to get so hot. But, too bad, I ran out of juice by dinnertime and was useless for the rest of the night...

Sunday night at my sister's to prepare a feast for Mother's Day
[My sister scolding the pasta]
I contributed with my pao de queijo which is always delish and New Orleans inspired oysters. I used this simpler recipe for the oysters, as opposed to one exactly like the Acme Oyster House. Everyone loved it. I sourced almost everything from Trader Joe's, but the oysters were purchased (not by me) in Chinatown and at Whole Foods.
[Oyster marinade? Butter sauce!]

[After!]
And what a feast it was:

Love you, mama!
